![]() And it's not simply that they have the thinnest soles (although they do), it's the rubber compounds and even the shape of the shoe, and the design/how all the parts allow flexion in all directions which allows more natural foot movement. Unless you go to seriously strange looking things like extra wide softstar moccasins, you're not gonna find a wider brand of shoe.Īdditionally Vivo came in as the most flexible by a lot. But this video proves that to be false, and the tracker isn't even nearly their widest model. A couple of users on this sub almost obsessively claim that vivos are too narrow. That's been one of the most strange types of comments against vivo that I've seen here. He shows that this model of Vivobarefoot is among the very widest in the industry. But the claims made against them simply do not add up and I am glad that we can now always link back to this video to disprove them: Heck, even if the claims were remotely reasonable, I wouldn't have looked twice at the issue. ![]() The claims made often aren't even reasonable. I hate to be that guy, but again, I've said it before: I'm not the first to wonder about the shilling against Vivo on this subreddit.Īnd the disproportionate number of claims against vivo here isn't the only thing that doesn't add up. You dont' get that successful having as shoddy a product line and customer service as is claimed in this sub. Bigger than all the other minimalist shoe manufacturers combined. In the whole rest of the world Vivo has a huge reputation for stellar products and stellar customer service. It's really strange how common this is on this subreddit and only on this subreddit. The percentage of users here supposedly unhappy with vivo is extremely out of proportion to what we see in the real world. There are plenty of happy vivobarefoot customers here, but there is a substantial and loud group of people intent on bad mouthing vivo. I've been talking about this recently, but this subreddit is oddly against Vivobarefoot shoes. I hope this helps someone and thanks for the video! I love a good gear review, especially when I'm right : ) It's a bit tight with the wrong sock but I made it work and removed the insole. They call it a hiking shoe but I use it when I'm in town at work or the gym, or to have something that's not a boot. ![]() The second pair I bought recently and I also love, they are the Tracker Decon low with wool knit. Maybe my feet were already their true size. I wear a 9 (42) in every other shoe and didn't size up, then I had to return them and size down, so now I wear the 8s (41)). (I would also add that they recommend sizing up, which is the opposite of what worked for me. ![]() ![]() Now I know don't buy Vivobarefoot that doesn't have the stitching AND the cement on the sole. Before that I had the Tracker all weather boot and the sole separated from the shoe after 3 weeks. I wore these for over a year every day and they have held up well. I wouldn't wear anything else hiking I don't care what class the trail is. I have the Tracker Forest ESC boot in brown leather, absolutely love it. I just bought a pair of the Gobi III for my wife as well, and I think she is even pickier than me, gets blisters from hell, and is paranoid about plastic. I've tried a lot of different boots and shoes. I own two different pairs of Vivobarefoot shoes and I wouldn't buy any other hiking or running shoe. Glad to see that I haven't misplaced almost $500. ![]()
